There’s no better time to plan a mini getaway vacation than during a holiday event when excitement is high and party-style events are usually scheduled throughout the U.S.A.. With the Fourth of July just a couple of weeks away, this is the perfect time to pack up your RV and plan a visit to a local state park or a RV campground overflowing with amenities and holiday festivities.
To help get you on your way, PleasureLand RV has just what you need from new and used recreational vehicles and pop-up campers to RV travel trailers and toy haulers to bring all of your fun items. You name it, they have it in stock. With a large selection of inventory to choose from, you’ll have plenty of options to suit what works for you, your family, your itinerary and your budget.
Planning Your Getaway
With your RV fueled up, the toy hauler packed and ready to go, celebrating the Fourth of July with your mobile room with a view just got easier and a lot more fun. With an RV, it’s easy to plan an extended vacation over the holiday, a weekend getaway or an overnight trip and celebrate the country’s birthday with your own red, white and blue birthday bash.
Plan your trip by making a checklist of things to do in preparation of leaving and check each one off as it’s completed. Include packing your RV’s refrigerator with plenty of traditional goodies like hotdogs and hamburgers, barbeque and chips. Don’t forget the marshmallows for toasting or making s’mores. Be sure to bring a grill and charcoal, assorted condiments and a traditional apple pie for the July 4th celebration.
Choose a park where fireworks displays will be going on along with festive events scheduled for those staying at the park. Find a camping location in the area where you’ll be able to see fireworks from the comfort of your RV across a lake or river. Create your own birthday bash for America by bringing along your own fireworks and sparklers to set off at your camp site. Be sure these items are allowed before setting them off at you’re camping destination. Use caution when setting off any type of fireworks and keep children and pets a safe distance away when lighting.
However you choose to celebrate, before hitting the highways and byways, visit PleasureLand for an upgrade to your current ride or to add to your personal RV inventory. If you aren’t in need of a new or used recreational vehicle but need your current RV serviced, make an appointment with the professional technicians at PleasureLand for a complete check-up and travel with peace of mind.

The summer heat is already bearing down upon the entire state of Minnesota. People are trying to find ways to avoid the oppressive humidity that comes with the rising temperatures, as you can head down to your PleasureLand RV Center and purchase the perfect RV so you can take a road trip to a cooler destination. Here are some ideas for you to keep cool in Minnesota.
Go Shopping: The one thing you’ll find in Minnesota that you won’t find anywhere else in the entire country is the The Mall of America, the largest shopping mall in the United States. It has indoor roller coasters, restaurants and stores to keep you cool and busy.
Find Cool, Fun And Educational Activities:With more than 600 museums found in the entire state of Minnesota, you can keep cool while teaching the kids new things. Stop by the Minnesota Children’s Museum or The Walker as you can see great artwork and exhibits.
Get Wet: There are a ton of places to have watery fun here in Minnesota. Go to one of the numerous beaches with your recreational vehicle Minneapolis, Minnesota. You can also head to indoor water parks such as the Depot Water Park in Minneapolis and the Water Park of America in Bloomington, or head to an outdoor one such as Soak City located at Valleyfair.
Take In A Movie: While watching movies in your RV is great when you are traveling to a certain destination, sometimes you want to just get out and see the latest flick in a nice cool movie theater. With all the great movies that are coming out this summer, you are sure to find one playing at a movie theater here in Minnesota. If you want to combine movies and activities into one, catch a flick on the IMAX screen at the Minnesota Zoo and then enjoy the air-conditioned areas as you watch penguins playing or see the fun sights at Discovery Bay.
Camping Awaits: The one thing all RV travelers can agree on: it is much cooler at the forests and lakes than it is in the city. So pack those bags, rev up the RV, and head out to your favorite RV resort or campground. There are dozens to choose from such as Kiesler’s Campground and RV Resort or the Grand Marais Recreation Area. Choose your campground based on the type of camping and amenities you prefer.
As the heat beams down from the summer sky, the temperatures and humidity can make the outdoors feel uncomfortably hot. You could take your RV rentals Minneapolis Minnesota out on the open road to find a cooler destination in a different state. Or you could check out all the cool places that Minnesota has to offer. Don’t forget to stop for a delicious ice cream cone or a cocktail while on your trip to give a toast to the wonderful summer sights and activities you enjoyed while on your trip.

The “RVer” lifestyle really doesn’t apply strictly to RV owners. There are plenty of RVers who drive a truck with a trailer attached, and a fifth wheel trailer can be just as great as any other option on the market, especially when it’s the 2014 Keystone Avalanche.
This new model will make you rethink the notion of how much luxury should cost. Though technically a regular old consumer grade model at just under $70,000, new, once you take a walk around inside the new Avalanche, you’ll wonder why it doesn’t cost twice that.
The authentic leather furniture package alone sets the interior apart from many RVs and trailers, but it’s really just the start. The cherry cabinet doors certainly make an impression, as well, and the free standing counter top wouldn’t be out of place in a million dollar New York penthouse apartment.
Of course how a trailer looks on the inside doesn’t matter so much if it doesn’t also feature everything that you could possibly need from a home on wheels. Beyond the stunning array of furniture and design, you also get a dual air conditioner package, a forty inch LED TV, which is nicer than many of us have in our houses, and a fireplace, if you can believe that.
At 37 feet, the trailer is roomy enough for any individual or couple, even with a dog or a cat, and with the hideaway bed in the sofa, big enough for a guest or two, as well.
The 2014 Avalanche really defies a lot of preconceived notions about the RV and trailer market. It’s surprising to find such a luxurious trailer at a mid-range price, and it’s a fifth wheel that can stand up to any motorhome on the market. Even the LED lighting system offers a touch of class to the trailer.
If you’re set on driving an RV, and not a trailer, then the Avalanche might change your mind. Roomy with a lush interior, the Avalanche offers a luxury lifestyle on the road. And be sure to come by PleasureLand RV Center for all your RV needs.

Staying in shape can be a challenge on any given day; staying on track with a fitness plan while traveling in your
new or used Minnesota motorhome
can sometimes seem next to impossible. But with a little determination, you can work out (with no need for fancy equipment) and keep fit for those fun, outdoor activities.
Here are four ideas:
1) Plan a few challenging hikes along your trip route that offer a break from the road and get your blood flowing.
2) Choose a variety of workout DVDs ranging from aerobics to yoga, and leave your favorites in the RV. Pop one into the DVD player and you’re set.
3) Load a workout app on your phone (like Nike Training Club or P90X).
4) Or create your own workout using any combination of these moves, whether inside the RV or outside by the picnic table: 100 jumping jacks, 50 crunches, 20 tricep dips, 15 squats, 20 lunges, 70 Russian twists, 20 calf raises, 5 push ups, 30 second plank, and 10 lunge split jumps. How many sets can you do?
There are plenty of excellent workout monitors out there, like Bodybugg, or apps for your phone to track your progress and keep you on the right path. Once you get in the habit of logging your food, caloric intake and output and exercise, you can really begin to see how your daily progress affects your goals, and those RV travel days won’t slow you down!
If you’re feeling ambitious and ready to take your fitness to the next level, check out Minnesota’s upcoming race schedules and sign up for one that sounds like a good fit. You might be supporting a philanthropic cause or just joining up with some other fun folks to get sweaty! If you need a kick-start, find a local training group or running buddy to keep you motivated.
Try these race schedule websites for a complete list of what’s happening near you:
How about White Bear Winter Frolic 5K or the 100% Irish for a Day 5K & 10 Mile in Minneapolis? For whatever your fitness, lifestyle or goal, you can find something to get your heart pumping!

Valentine’s Day, February 14, is almost upon us, and what better way to get away from it all and get closer to your sweetheart than planning a romantic RV weekend in one of our amazing state parks! Just check the weather, make a reservation, put on some tunes, break out the chocolate, and it’s on!
Whether you’re specifically celebrating Valentine’s Day with your honey or just planning a much-needed getaway, Minnesota State Parks are great destinations. You can relax in the luxury of your
Minnesota motorhome or travel trailer
or head out for an adventurous day of skiing and snowshoeing followed by a yummy meal for two by the campfire! And if the RV is snugly stored for the winter, you can rent one of their camper cabins. Just be sure to check out the reservations page and book your room or site.
Before you head out, check out the forecast for the V-Day weekend and make sure you pack the appropriate clothing for the outdoor activities you have planned. (No comment on the indoor ones!) Then grab any equipment you might need, like extra blankets, an extra stove and fuel, and any sporting gear. Be sure your RV is prepared for the weather as well!
Then, put on some romantic music to set the mood for quality time under the stars. From Marvin Gaye to the calming sounds of the forest, there’s something for everyone.
And, no Valentine’s Day is complete without chocolate. Hershey’s has some very special recipes to share. How about the “Fudgy Chocolate Fondue” made in the Dutch oven? Or maybe just a steaming cup of hot chocolate?
Don’t be afraid to go overboard. After all, February 14 only comes around once a year! What do you think is the most romantic spot in Minnesota? Let us know!
