Marigold Days
Marigold Days in Afton is one of those great events where there really is something for everyone, that’s not just a slogan. There’s a grand parade, a Firemen’s Dance, live music, even a fishing contest for the kids and a flea market. Taking place in the beautiful Mississippi Bluff Country, Marigold Days is the event to hit if you’re not sure what you want to do, you just know that you want to have some fun.

Noah’s Ark
This is the largest waterpark in the US, so it’s a must for those who enjoy water activities. It’s a great way for adults and children to spend the day cooling off bodyboarding, rafting, dropping down waterslides, or speeding along water coasters. Although the mega waterpark is closed for the season, add it to your spring getaway calendar when it reopens from May to September next year.
Ho-Chunk Casino
Play a game of cards seven days a week starting at 10am and going strong until 4am. Try your hand at three or four card poker, Texas Hold’em or show off your talent in a poker tournament. If games of chance tickle your fancy, spin the roulette wheel or give it your best shot at the blackjack table. There’s also baccarat and craps to keep you busy from one hour to the next. To round out the visit, relax with a few rounds of bingo or head to the off track betting area for greyhound, thoroughbred or harness racing at multiple tracks.
Mirror Lake State Park

At PleasureLand RV, we love bringing you information about great RVs that can be used as your mobile home. Our Minnesota RV dealership would like to highlight the 2014 Keystone Premier 33BLPR in this review.
Inside the stylish 33BLPR, you’ll have more than enough room for yourself and guests or family. The RV is slightly over 35 feet long, giving you the space needed for multiple inhabitants.
The inside of the 33BLPR has a built-in dinette that seats four or more, and the sink is set into a large counter to give you space for cooking, and an additional pantry has the space needed for dry goods and storage. A refrigerator and three-burner stove with and oven make up a portion of the kitchen space, and a microwave is located above it for quicker meals.
You can enjoy a calming atmosphere inside the 33BLPR. It has a flat-screen TV in the living space and a second entertainment center inside the main bedroom. A bunk, sofa bed, and queen-sized bed provides ample sleeping space in the rear of the vehicle.
The elegant look of the inside is emphasized with wood tones and carpetting. A classic look has been given to all seating, countertops, and wall coverings, so the inside will always look up to date and fashionable. Overhead storage gives you places to put all your belongings while you travel, and a full bathroom gives you a shower, toilet, and sink away from the rest of the home. It can be accessed in the hall headed toward the master suite.
A laundry chute is an additional option, and the master suite adds a wardrobe and overhead storage. Linen closets are included in the bathroom, and the front driving area is made with comfortable seating for long hauls.
Come see it today at PleasureLand RV!

September is National Courtesy Month! That means different things to different people, of course. Holding open a door, allowing a car into your lane, or holding an elevator door open are simple little things that show what this month is trying to promote.
For someone driving off the lot of PleasureLand RV dealership in Minnesota, it just means taking that natural RVer’s courtesy an extra step. Here are some ideas as you share the road this Courtesy Month:
Form a Welcoming Party
When we stay at RV parks, there’s a good chance that we’re only going to be there for a few days. This can make it hard to form lasting relationships with other RVers, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t bother making friends in the first place. When someone new moves into the park, have a meet and greet, bring them a few drinks, and invite them over.
Share Your Intel
Contribute to the knowledge database that is the worldwide web. In the golden age of the American Hobo, they used to leave signs in coded language to help each other out. The signs might warn others of a mean guard dog, or let them know where a charitable old lady lives who likes to bake pies in exchange for some housework. RVers don’t need the secret language since we have the web to let one another know which towns are RVer friendly and where to get a great steak in Tucson.
Give and Take
Many travelers don’t have the time to stop and do laundry every few days, and, instead, simply buy new thrift store clothes on a regular basis, tossing out the old rags. Well, if this is you, don’t toss them out: rather, donate them. You’re already there, it’s not even out of your way!
Being courteous isn’t just for RVers and it isn’t just for September, it’s for everyone, every day. This month is a good time to reflect on the times we’ve been helpful and welcoming to those around us, and times when we could have been better.

At PleasureLand RV, we know how important a quality RV is to your needs.
Today, we’d like to bring you information about the Winnebego Ultralite 31BHDS.
This travel trailer simply connects to your truck to provide you with a home that you can take with you wherever you go. It can hold up to 56 gallons of fresh water and has popout awnings that add area to your home.
This trailer is 35 feet long and features two slides that open up to allow for more space inside. The windows are tinted and frameless to help keep out the bright sunlight, and your 12-volt power awning can be extended and lit with the attached LED lights, so you can have cookouts at night without needing to have additional light sources.
Inside, a seating area is separated from a fitted kitchen that offers an oven, stove top, and counter space for you to work on. The flatscreen TV adds a little class to your living room space, and you can easily watch TV from the sofa or dinner table if you’d prefer. The appliances come in black, and the dark wooden features blend well with light, airy furniture and an open walkway.
If you’re looking for a trailer that works for multiple people, this is the right choice. It has a bunk over a sleeper sofa, two additional bunks, a sleeper sofa in the living room area, and a queen-sized bed behind the entertainment system. For storage, you can access a closet near the back bunks or use the pantry or closet space near the queen-sized bed.
The bathroom offers a toilet, shower, and sink, and you also have a second sink in the kitchen with two basins for rinsing and washing.
Remember to stop by PleasureLandRV, your local RV dealership in Minnesota, if you’d like to check out this unit. We would be happy to discuss the layout and pricing when you call or stop by.

Since PleasureLand RV Center is the RV dealership Minnesota relies on for everything RV related, we thought we would really go out on the edge. We thought we would look for those unusual, weird, wild, and wacky places Minnesota has to offer that can make for some interesting trips. Are you ready to explore the odd side of our state? Here we go!
The Jolly Green Giant – Since 1979, the Jolly Green Giant has stood watch over Blue Earth, Minnesota. The town used to be home of a Green Giant vegetable canning plant, and originally the 55 foot statue was designed to lure travelers into town from I-90. Sadly, no land owner near the freeway offered property for the giant statue, and he was placed a mile away near the fairgrounds in Blue Earth. Perhaps even sadder is the canning plant is no longer operated by Green Giant. You can climb up close to his size 78 shoes to this day though and get a picture.
World’s Largest Prairie Chicken – Rothsay, Minnesota, is home to this “booming” chicken. Booming means he is puffing out the big orange sacks on each side of his neck. At thirteen feet tall and 9,000 lbs. this guy would make for a great barbecue. As he stands he mostly serves as a great place for gag photos.
World’s Largest Ball of Twine – What would you get if you rolled twine for 4 hours a day for 29 nears? Yep, a BIG ball of twine. In fact, the World’s Largest. Actually it has been clarified as the “World’s Largest Ball of Twine Rolled by One Man.” Folks in Kansas have one bigger, but they allow visitors to add to it daily. The folks in Darwin, Minnesota, are pleased with their record holder.
Paul Bunyan and The Blue Ox – Perhaps Minnesota’s most famous oddity, the lumberjack and his ox friend stand in Bemidji, Minnesota. Paul stands at 18 feet and is estimated to weigh in at 2.5 tons. He’s been standing there proudly for a while, since 1937. His blue buddy joined him in 1939.
PleasureLand RV is all about having fun in the great outdoors and hope you enjoy these oddities right in our own backyard!

When planning excursions, whether across the state or across the country, eating is a big part of each day and whether you’re traveling in a Class A motorhome, cozy travel trailer, or a convenient pop-up, preparing meals that are quick, easy, and nutritious are at the top of the list.
With recreational vehicles available from PleasureLand RV, you’ll have the opportunity to show off your culinary talents with exceptional camp cooking.
When you’re looking for ideas to keep the masses happy, some creative and tasty desserts will definitely put a smile on everyone’s face. Consider one of these quick and easy desserts to delight friends and family while traversing the roads of Minnesota.
Fruit Cobbler
Photographer: Manda Wong
This is an easy recipe that will melt in your mouth.
Melt 1 stick of butter. Mix thoroughly 1 cup each sugar, milk and self-rising flour. Add mixture to butter. Add 2 cups of canned fruit, drained. Sprinkle with a mixture of 1/8 cup each sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees.
Grilled Waffle Treats
This easy waffle treat is a good substitute for s’mores. You’ll need frozen waffles, miniature marshmallows, semisweet chocolate chips, and heavy-duty tin foil.
Grease a 12-inch square of double thick foil. Place one waffle atop the foil and sprinkle with chocolate chips and marshmallows. Place another waffle on top. Fold the foil securely around the waffle sealing edges tightly. Grill over medium heat, covered, for approximately 8-10 minutes. Open carefully allowing steam to escape.
Hot Banana Boats
This recipe packs a sweet punch. Ingredients include bananas, semisweet chocolate chips, miniature marshmallows, foil, and trail mix.
Place an unpeeled banana on a 12-inch square of tin foil. Tweak the foil to create a base for the banana to sit in. Cut 1/2-inches deep along the middle leaving 1/2-inch uncut at both ends. Pull the peel and banana apart forming a pocket. Fill with trail mix, marshmallows and chocolate chips. Grill for approximately 4-5 minutes, covered, until marshmallows are melted and toasted.
PleasureLand is your personal RV dealership where knowledgeable and friendly staff will point you in the right direction when it comes to travel options to suit your needs and fit your budget. Whether buying or renting, PleasureLand RV has it all.

Whether you’re ready to buy a trailer for the first time or you are looking for an upgrade, the 2014 Shasta Oasis Trailer could be the RV for you. The Oasis is designed with a rounded front for less wind resistance and better towing, and also features an I-beam cambered steel frame for stability. Three out of the five Shasta Oasis floor plans come with slide outs, which is a great option if you have a larger family. With the sleek look and the gorgeous interior, the Oasis is enough to satisfy any outdoorsman (or outdoorswoman).
Interior
The 2014 Shasta Oasis has floor plans for the family who loves the outdoors. Two sets of bunk beds in the larger Oasis models provide plenty of sleeping space for the kids. The interior is beautiful with tile flooring by Beauflor and the light wood solid cabinets, and all the fabrics, counter tops, and flooring come in soft outdoor colors to compliment the cabinets. You can relax on the comfortable jack knife sofa and enjoy the convenience of a Marine toilet with foot flush in the bathroom. The kitchen is residential, which means big, and with the high-neck faucet you have plenty of room for preparing meals and washing those big pots and pans.
Exterior
Hitching up at night has been made easier with the Oasis front hitch light, and you’ll have added light for your outdoor experience with the amber patio light. You’ll also get the tinted radius windows with black frames and safety glass for your outdoor view, along with the radius entry door for easy access. The wall framing on the Oasis is 16” on center, and there is R-7 fiberglass insulation throughout covered by .024 aluminum exterior skin and a one solid piece of rubber on the roof.
Options
The outside shower is always a nice option to have when you have been exploring in the wilderness or just spraying down the children who think dirty is fun. A range with oven in place of the cook top would be the ideal option for the chef in the family.
If the Oasis sounds like the RV for you live and you live in Minnesota or the surrounding area, you can find more information at PleasureLand RV.
